          <h1>Recordkeeping obligations require detailed warehouse records, offsite digital backups and monthly operational returns to the bond officer.</h1> Regulation 17 requires licensees to maintain detailed, contemporaneous records of receipt, handling, storage and removal of warehoused goods, including sample drawal logs and copies of bills of entry, transport and export documents and executed bonds, and to produce them to the bond officer on request; records must be accurate, preserved for the minimum retention period after removal and backed up digitally at a separate location, and licensees must file a monthly return describing receipt, storage, operations and removal of goods within the post-month filing period.
