of <h1>Issuers Can Recall Municipal Debt Securities Early Under Regulation 17A; Must Disclose Options in Offer Document</h1> Regulation 17A of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue and Listing of Municipal Debt Securities) Regulations, 2015, allows issuers to recall municipal debt securities before their maturity date through a call option or provide investors the right to redeem these securities early through a put option. The specifics of these options are determined by the Board and must be fully disclosed in the offer document or placement memorandum. This regulation was inserted as per the notification dated September 27, 2019.
