Diplomatic fiscal privileges remain unaffected by the tax treaty where international law or special agreements provide them.

Article 29 preserves the fiscal privileges of members of diplomatic missions and consular posts, providing that nothing in the Agreement affects entitlements under general international law or under special agreements, thereby leaving diplomatic and consular tax immunities and exemptions governed by those norms rather than by the Agreement's ordinary rules.
