of <h1>Monetary limits under Section 441 of Companies Act increased; non-compoundable offences clarified, overriding Criminal Procedure Code.</h1> Section 441 of the Companies Act has been amended to increase the monetary limit in clause (b) of sub-section (1) from five lakh rupees to twenty-five lakh rupees. Additionally, sub-section (6) has been replaced to specify that any offence under this Act punishable by imprisonment, or imprisonment along with a fine, is not compoundable, overriding provisions in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
