<h1>Regulation 63B empowers SEBI to recover expenses from depositories and others, including audit fees during inspections.</h1> Regulation 63B of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996, authorizes the Board to recover expenses from depositories, participants, beneficial owners, issuers, or their agents. These expenses include fees paid to auditors and are incurred during the inspection or investigation of the financial records, infrastructure, systems, and procedures of these entities. This provision was inserted by the SEBI (Depositories and Participants) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 1999, effective from July 7, 1999.
