<h1>SEBI Regulation 60: 10-Day Notice for Inspections, But Can Act Without Notice if Investors' Interests at Risk</h1> Regulation 60 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Depositories and Participants) Regulations, 1996 mandates that the Board must provide at least 10 days' notice before conducting an inspection or investigation of a depository, participant, beneficial owner, issuer, or its agent. However, if the Board believes that notifying would not be in the investors' best interest, it can order an inspection without prior notice. During such inspections or investigations, the entities involved must fulfill their obligations as outlined in regulation 61.
