<h1>SEBI Regulation 19 on Lead Merchant Bankers Omitted; Limits Based on Issue Size No Longer Apply.</h1> Regulation 19 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Merchant Bankers) Regulations, 1992, which restricted the number of lead merchant bankers based on the size of the issue, has been omitted as of April 18, 2006, by an amendment. Previously, the regulation specified the maximum number of lead managers allowed for issues ranging from less than fifty crores to above four hundred crores, with limits increasing from two to five or more lead managers depending on the issue size.
