of <h1>Regulation 12B Defines Rules for Eligible Fund Managers as Portfolio Managers for Investment Funds, Effective January 2017.</h1> Regulation 12B under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 1993, applies specifically to eligible fund managers in their role as portfolio managers for eligible investment funds. These provisions are exclusive to their activities in this capacity. Additionally, all other applicable regulations, guidelines, and circulars issued under these regulations apply to these fund managers unless they conflict with the provisions of this chapter. This regulation was introduced through an amendment effective from January 2, 2017.
