<h1>New Rules: Real Estate Mutual Funds Must Invest 35% in Direct Real Estate, 75% in Real Estate-Related Assets.</h1> Real estate mutual fund schemes must invest at least 35% of their net assets directly in real estate assets. They must allocate at least 75% of net assets to real estate assets, mortgage-backed securities, or equity/debentures of real estate companies, with the remainder in other securities. Investments in a single city cannot exceed 30% of net assets, and no more than 15% in a single project. Investments in unlisted companies are capped at 25% of total issued capital and 15% per scheme. Restrictions apply to investments in sponsor-related securities and transfers of real estate assets between schemes.
