of <h1>Mutual Funds Required to Pay Annual Service Fee by April 15 or Within Two Months for Justified Delays (Second Schedule)</h1> A mutual fund must pay an annual service fee by April 15 each year, as specified in the Second Schedule, for every financial year following its registration. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) may allow a mutual fund to pay the fee within two months from the start of the financial year if there is a justified delay. This regulation was amended in 2006 to specify the annual nature of the service fee.
