of <h1>New Section 159 Imposes Penalties for Non-Compliance with Sections 152, 155, and 156 of Companies Act</h1> Section 159 of the Companies Act has been replaced under the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019. The new provision imposes penalties on individuals or directors of a company who fail to comply with sections 152, 155, and 156. The penalty can be up to fifty thousand rupees, with an additional penalty of up to five hundred rupees for each day the default continues beyond the first day.
