False or suppressed information in company registration creates criminal liability under the Companies Amendment Act. The amendment inserts a provision making it an offence if any person wilfully furnishes any false or incorrect information or knowingly suppresses any material information required to be registered under section 77, and provides that such person shall be liable for action under section 447.
