Collective investment scheme registration requires Form A application where a scheme qualifies under the statutory proviso; other regulations apply. A person proposing to carry on, sponsor or launch a scheme or arrangement deemed to be a collective investment scheme under the proviso to section 11AA(1) must apply for registration as a Collective Investment Management Company in Form A; schemes regulated or prohibited under other laws are excluded. All other provisions of these regulations and the guidelines and circulars issued thereunder apply to such deemed schemes.
