Timing of public announcement for open offers: prescribed triggers determine when disclosure and detailed statements are required. Timing rules require an acquirer to make a public announcement on prescribed triggers-agreement to acquire, prior to market purchases that breach thresholds, on conversion of convertible instruments (as exercised or on scheduled conversion), on execution of disinvestment agreements, on board authorisation for preferential issues, and on receipt of title when acquisition timing is beyond acquirer's control. Indirect acquisition timing depends on whether specified parameters are met, and combined-mode acquisitions must be announced on the date of the first acquisition with disclosure of subsequent proposed acquisitions. A detailed public statement must follow within five working days, with an exception where voting rights or control are not ultimately obtained.
