Advertisements for public issues must be truthful, disclose credit rating, and direct investors to rely on the offer document. Regulation 8 requires issuers to publish advertisements in one English and one Hindi national daily on or before the issue opening date with disclosures per Schedule I; the advertisement must prominently display the credit rating, avoid extraneous content, and urge investors to rely only on the offer document. Advertisements must be truthful, fair and clear, and must not be misleading, distorted, manipulative or deceptive. Corporate or product advertisements during the subscription period must not reference the issue or be used for solicitation.
