Investment Adviser Regulations establish SEBI's regulatory framework to take effect a set period after Gazette publication. SEBI, exercising powers under Section 30 read with clause (b) of sub section (2) of Section 11 of the SEBI Act, 1992, promulgated the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013; the regulations are titled accordingly and are appointed to come into force on the ninetieth day after their publication in the Official Gazette.
