Inspection powers of the board ensure compliance and allow suo motu and complaint-driven reviews of InvIT records. The regulation vests the Board with inspection powers to appoint inspecting officers suo motu or on receipt of information or complaint to examine the books, records and documents of the InvIT or parties to the InvIT, to verify maintenance of records as required, investigate complaints from unit holders or other persons, ascertain compliance with the Act and regulations, and conduct suo motu inspections in the interest of the securities market or investors.
