Securities Appellate Tribunal orders require signatures from Presiding Officer and two members; interim orders need written reasons.
Every order issued by the Securities Appellate Tribunal must be signed and dated by the Presiding Officer and two other members. The Presiding Officer has the authority to issue interim orders or injunctions when necessary for justice, provided reasons are documented in writing. Orders are to be pronounced during tribunal sessions by the Presiding Officer or, if temporarily absent, by an authorized member. These provisions were amended in 2003 under the Securities Appellate Tribunal (Procedure) (Amendment) Rules.
