of <h1>Securities Laws (Amendment) Act 2014: Key Changes Retroactively Effective, Central Government Notification Required for Full Implementation</h1> The Securities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2014, amends the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, and the Depositories Act, 1996. The Act is identified as No. 27 of 2014 and was enacted on August 22, 2014. Most provisions of the Act are retroactively effective from July 18, 2013, except for certain sections that came into force on March 28, 2014. The implementation of other sections is subject to notification by the Central Government in the Official Gazette.
