<h1>Civil Courts Lack Jurisdiction Over Matters Under Section 22E of Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956</h1> Section 22E of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, stipulates that civil courts do not have jurisdiction over matters that are within the purview of a Securities Appellate Tribunal. It further prohibits any court or authority from granting injunctions on actions taken or to be taken under the powers conferred by this Act. This provision was inserted by the Securities Laws (Second Amendment) Act, 1999, effective from December 16, 1999.
