Avoidance of conflict of interest requires public authority to reject external funding and relationships that impair impartial performance. The Authority must avoid contracts, arrangements, relationships or event participation that may or may be perceived to impair its effective, fair and reasonable performance, and the Authority and its associates are prohibited from receiving funds, assets, donations, favours, gifts or sponsorships from sources other than government-provided funding and from incurring liabilities or obligations except as permitted by the government.
