of <h1>Rule 13: Chairperson and members can use staff cars; vehicle needs met by hiring, not purchase.</h1> Rule 13 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and members) Rules, 2016, specifies that the Chairperson and whole-time members are entitled to use a staff car for official purposes. The Board is prohibited from purchasing passenger vehicles and must fulfill vehicle needs through hiring. This rule does not apply to those who have opted for a consolidated salary of 5,62,500 and 5,00,000, as updated by notifications in 2018 and 2024, respectively.
