Periodicity of issue of bonds permits quarterly purchase windows and additional windows during national and state general elections. The Electoral Bond Scheme permits bond purchases during specified ten-day windows in set months annually; the Central Government may specify an additional thirty-day period in years of general elections to the House of the People and an additional fifteen-day period in years of general elections to State Legislative Assemblies and Union territory legislatures.
