Creditors Must File Claims by Deadline Under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Regulations 2016 or Risk Exclusion from Proceedings
Creditors must submit claims with proof by the last date specified in the public announcement under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons) Regulations, 2016. If a creditor misses this deadline, they may still submit their claim to the interim resolution professional or resolution professional until the request for resolution plans is issued or 90 days from the insolvency commencement date, whichever is later. Creditors must provide reasons for any delay beyond 90 days. Financial creditors are included in the committee from the date their claim is admitted, without affecting prior committee decisions.
