of <h1>Rule 44: Tribunal Officers' Roles Defined; Registrar Can Delegate Duties; Seal Use Requires Written Authority</h1> Rule 44 of the Customs, Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (Procedure) Rules, 1982 outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Tribunal's officers. The Registrar is responsible for maintaining the Tribunal's records and may delegate duties to the Deputy or Assistant Registrar with the President's approval. In the Registrar's absence, the Deputy or Assistant Registrar can perform all Registrar functions. The official Seal is kept by these officers and can only be used under written authority, following directives from the President. The Seal is required for orders, summons, or certified copies issued by the Tribunal.
