of <h1>Amendment to Companies Act Section 412: New Selection Committee for Tribunal Members with Casting Vote for Chairperson.</h1> Section 412 of the Companies Act is amended to revise the appointment process for Tribunal Members and Technical Members of the Appellate Tribunal. The new provisions establish a Selection Committee comprising the Chief Justice of India or a nominee as Chairperson, a senior Supreme Court Judge or Chief Justice of a High Court, and Secretaries from the Ministries of Corporate Affairs and Law and Justice as members. In case of a tie in votes during committee meetings, the Chairperson is granted a casting vote to resolve the deadlock.
