Utilisation of Fund: requires government use for consumer welfare and mandated separate accounts with annual statement. All sums credited to the Fund shall be utilised by the Government for the welfare of the consumers as prescribed; the Government or a specified authority shall maintain proper and separate accounts and relevant records relating to the Fund and prepare an annual statement of accounts in such form as may be prescribed, to be prepared in consultation with the office responsible for audit oversight.
