Liability of agent and principal: agent and principal share joint and several responsibility for tax on supplies made on behalf of the principal.

Where an agent supplies or receives taxable goods on behalf of his principal, both agent and principal bear joint and several liability for the tax payable under the GST scheme, allowing recovery of the full tax from either party in respect of those transactions.
