Confiscation and penalty under the Act do not bar imposition of other legal punishments under this or other laws. Confiscation or penalty under the Act does not preclude imposition of additional punishments under this Act or any other law; without prejudice to the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, confiscation or penalty under the Act or its rules operates alongside and does not bar other penal consequences available under statutory or criminal law.
