Deemed exports designation permits notification of domestically manufactured goods as exports when payment is in rupees or convertible foreign exchange. Section 147 empowers the Government, on Council recommendations, to notify supplies of goods as deemed exports where the goods do not leave India, are manufactured in India, and payment is received in Indian rupees or in convertible foreign exchange.
