          <h1>Legislative scrutiny of delegated legislation: rules and notifications must be laid before the legislature; it may modify or annul them.</h1> Every rule, regulation and notification made under the Act must be laid before the State Legislature for a prescribed period within one or successive sessions; if the Legislature agrees to modify or to annul the instrument in the immediately following session, the instrument will thereafter operate only in the modified form or be of no effect, while any modification or annulment does not affect the validity of actions previously taken under that instrument.
