Inspection of goods in movement: officers may require prescribed documents and devices to be carried, produced and goods inspected. The Government may require the person in charge of a conveyance carrying consignments above a specified value to carry prescribed documents and devices, whose validation will be prescribed; a proper officer intercepting such conveyance may require production and verification of those documents and devices and inspect the goods, and the person in charge must produce the documents and allow inspection.
