of <h1>Government Empowered to Address GST Implementation Challenges Under Section 172 of Puducherry GST Act, 2017</h1> Section 172 of the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, allows the government to address any difficulties in implementing the Act's provisions. Upon the Council's recommendation, the government can issue general or special orders, published in the Official Gazette, to facilitate the Act's application, provided these do not conflict with existing provisions, rules, or regulations. Such orders must be issued within three years from the Act's commencement and must be presented to the State Legislature promptly after issuance.
