Penalty for failure to furnish information return: daily fine may be directed after notice, subject to a statutory cap. Failure to furnish an information return after the period specified in the notice under the relevant subsection permits the proper officer to direct imposition of a daily penalty for each day the failure continues, subject to a maximum aggregate limit.
