          <h1>Unique identity number allocation: electronic application enables officers to assign UIN and issue certificate under prescribed procedure.</h1> Assignment of a Unique Identity Number requires electronic application in the prescribed registration form with verification by EVC or equivalent at the Common Portal, directly or via a notified Facilitation Centre. The proper officer, upon receipt or completion of the application, may assign the Unique Identity Number and issue the certificate in the prescribed form within a short specified period from submission.
