<h1>Section 25 IGST Act 2017: Government Can Address Implementation Challenges, Issue Orders Within 5 Years of Act Start</h1> Section 25 of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, allows the government to address difficulties in implementing the Act's provisions. Upon the Council's recommendation, the government can issue general or special orders, published in the Official Gazette, to make necessary provisions consistent with the Act. Such orders cannot be issued after five years from the Act's commencement. All orders must be presented before each House of Parliament promptly after issuance. The period for issuing orders was extended from three to five years by the Finance Act, 2020.
