Assistance to proper officers required from police, railways, customs and revenue and tax officers; government may notify others. Specified public officers must assist proper officers in enforcing the Act, including Police, Railways, Customs, land revenue collectors (including village officers), and State and Union Territory tax officers; the Government may notify and require other classes of officers to assist when called upon by the Commissioner.
