of <h1>Finance Bill 2017 amends Indian Post Office Act 1898: Substitutes Section 7(1) proviso, omits sub-section (2).</h1> Section 7 of the Indian Post Office Act, 1898, is amended by substituting the proviso in sub-section (1) to state that until a notification is issued, the rates in the First Schedule will apply. Additionally, sub-section (2) is omitted. These changes are part of the amendments introduced in the Finance Bill, 2017.
