<h1>Transfer of pending AAR applications to the successor Authority upon presidential assent ensures continuity of proceedings at existing stages.</h1> On and from the date the Finance Bill, 2017 receives presidential assent, every application and proceeding pending before the erstwhile Authority for Advance Rulings (Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax) shall be transferred to the successor Authority from the stage at which such application or proceeding stood on the date of assent, preserving procedural continuity.
