The Act refers to the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. An authorized dealer is a person authorized under section 10 of the Act, including factors. Export encompasses taking or sending goods by land, sea, or air through various arrangements including sale, lease, or hire-purchase, and for software includes electronic transmission. Export value includes all charges for lease, hire-purchase, or similar arrangements. Software means computer programmes, databases, designs, or information on non-physical mediums. Other terms follow the parent Act's definitions.
