<h1>Rule 23A: Multiple Individuals Can Jointly File a Petition if Sharing Common Interest and Relief Sought Under 2016 Rules.</h1> Rule 23A of the National Company Law Tribunal Rules, 2016, allows a Bench to permit multiple individuals to jointly present a single petition if it is satisfied that the parties share a common interest based on the cause of action and the nature of relief sought. Such permission is granted when the Act specifically allows for the joining of petitioners in a single petition. This provision was inserted as per notification dated December 20, 2016.
