of <h1>Procedure for reduction of company share capital rules: designated short title, effective on Gazette publication, definitions incorporated</h1> The instrument prescribes its short title as the National Company Law Tribunal (Procedure for reduction of share capital of Company) Rules, 2016, thereby designating the rules governing procedure for reduction of share capital; the operative effect is to identify these rules by that title. It further prescribes commencement upon publication in the Official Gazette, thereby making the rules effective from that date. It stipulates that words and expressions not defined therein but defined in the Companies Act, 2013, the Companies (Specification of Definitions Details) Rules, 2014, or the National Company Law Tribunal Rules, 2016 shall bear the meanings assigned in those enactments, thereby incorporating those definitions for interpretation.
