of <h1>New Rules for Transferring Pending Company Proceedings Under Companies Act and Insolvency Code Effective December 15, 2016</h1> The Companies (Transfer of Pending Proceedings) Rules, 2016, established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, are enacted under the authority of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. These rules are designed to regulate the transfer of pending company law proceedings. They are effective from December 15, 2016, with the exception of Rule 4, which becomes effective from April 1, 2017. The rules aim to streamline the process and ensure that pending proceedings are handled efficiently under the new legal framework.
