Option to redeem goods: owner may pay a fine in lieu of confiscation, alongside tax and other charges. The Owner or person in charge of goods liable to confiscation is entitled to elect payment of a fine, not exceeding the market price of the confiscated goods, in lieu of confiscation; this fine is additional to any tax and other charges payable in respect of those goods.
