Retrospective cancellation of registration follows where registration was obtained by fraud, misstatement or suppression of facts. Registration obtained by wilful mis-statement, fraud or suppression of facts is subject to retrospective cancellation by the proper officer, allowing annulment of registrations procured through deceit or concealment of material facts and enabling administrative correction of the register to reflect lawful eligibility.
