GST dispute resolution mechanism to adjudicate intergovernmental disputes arising from Council recommendations and implementation effects. The Constitution (One Hundred and First Amendment) empowers the GST Council to establish an adjudicatory mechanism to resolve disputes arising from the Council's recommendations or their implementation, including disputes between the Union and one or more States, between the Union and some States on one side and other States on the other, and between two or more States.
