of <h1>Rule 73 NCLAT Rules: Guidelines for Document Production, Discovery, and Summons Application in Legal Proceedings.</h1> Rule 73 of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal Rules, 2016, governs the application for the production of documents. It states that the discovery, production, and return of documents are primarily regulated by the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. An application for a summons to produce documents must be on plain paper, detailing the documents sought, their relevance, and whether a certified copy would suffice. If the documents are held by a public officer outside of court, the summons should be directed to the appropriate Head of the Department or designated authority.
