<h1>New Rule: Affidavit Deponents Must Be Identified by a Known Person, Confirmed by Signature Under Rule 71, 2016.</h1> Rule 71 of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal Rules, 2016, under the Companies Law, addresses the identification of a deponent in affidavits. If the deponent is unknown to the attestor, their identity must be confirmed by someone who knows them. This person must then sign as a token of identification.
