Computation of time period in tribunal proceedings excludes commencement day and tribunal closed days, shifting deadlines accordingly.
Computation of prescribed time periods excludes the day from which the period is reckoned and also excludes the last day if it falls on days when the tribunal office is closed; any succeeding closed days are likewise excluded. This rule applies to periods prescribed by the Act, these rules, other laws, or fixed by the Appellate Tribunal for performing acts, and thus shifts filing or performance deadlines to the next open tribunal day when closures occur.
