Application for grant of inspection: timing, filing procedure, Registrar review and prohibition near hearing dates
Rule 116 prescribes that applications for inspection of records must be presented at the Registry between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM on a working day and ordinarily at least two days before the requested inspection date, unless the Registrar permits otherwise; the Registry must forward the application with its remarks to the Registrar, who will consider and pass appropriate orders; inspection of records in a pending case is ordinarily not permitted on the date fixed for hearing or the preceding day, restricting access near hearing dates.
